For a long time now, I’ve been trying to live my life by two simple rules. The first is as long as people aren’t hurting each other, let them do what it takes to be happy. Gay marriage, transgender rights, your religion…whatever. As long as it doesn’t hurt someone else, why should I stop you from feeling complete?
I have 4,961 VetPrep questions to get through to pass my boards. How would I even have time to get upset that gay people are getting married?
The second rule that I’ve tried to follow is don’t be a dick.
No one wants to be like Scott. Continue reading Guys & Gals (Not Girls!)
For the past four months, preparing for the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination has been at the forefront of mine and my friends’ minds. This means that although we’ve certainly had some free time, we’ve always been worried about the NAVLE. The consequence? My friends and I have barely hung out, I’ve had to postpone editing my second novel (The Ripple Effect), and I’ve had far fewer Jimmy Neutron Nights than normal.
For your own reference.
Back in the summer when it came time to start really worrying about the NAVLE, I tried to find some information on it online. I was surprised to find that there was no easy-to-read condensation of what the NAVLE exactly entails. So, I figured I’d make one myself. I’ll try to avoid my usual playful (and/or offensively annoying) exaggerative style in this post. When I complain how much this test sucks, know I really mean it. A quick poem I made up. I’m not great at poetry but figured I’d give it a shot. Heavily inspired by the song Do You Feel It? by Chaos Chaos and the below scene from Rick and Morty.
Would it be better
To lie defeated
Six feet under the ground? Continue reading “Buried” – An Original Poem
It’s been over eight months since I wrote a Jimmy Neutron fanfic. I thought I’d left that part of my life behind me, but it’s not the first time I’ve been pulled back into the fandom by a story I’ve been itching to write. For about a month I’ve had an idea for a story that explored the episode Trading Faces in a different light – what if Jimmy and Cindy had formed their truce right away instead of ruining each other’s lives first? I needed a break from worrying about the NAVLE, so for the past week I’ve been working on this story. I hope to get the last chapter up within a few days.
The first chapter is posted below, but the whole thing can be read here. I hope you enjoy and please, (pretty please) feel absolutely free to let me know what you think. I always love getting reviews and criticism.
As Jimmy Neutron stormed into Ms. Fowl’s classroom and reluctantly took the empty seat to Libby’s right, he could only focus on five words. The one simple phrase they composed had been shouted in a shrill shriek by Cindy not a half hour before. Then fix this, you idiot!
Jimmy scoffed at the audacity of that remark. How could she call him an idiot, when he had single-handedly, albeit accidentally, proven that mind transplantation was possible? As if that weren’t enough, there was the unspoken sentiment behind that terse diatribe; the idea that this was all Jimmy’s fault. Now that was utterly laughable. Last week, the internet went berserk over an announcement that Nickelodeon was considering reviving several of its 90s Nicktoons. Such Nicktoons they’ve reportedly considered reviving are Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, and Angry Beavers. Some have reported that these and other Nicktoons will come together in an “Avengers Style” movie. Of course, this information is all still new. Facts are few and rumors are racing through the community.
These shows are all of course classics and worthy of new life (as long as they are given as much care and effort that their previous incarnations received). Yet for me and tens of thousands of others, there’s one show we are deeply saddened to not see on this list. That, of course, would be The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

If you’re anything like me, you love video games but are short on time. That’s why flash games have become such a welcome hobby of mine since starting vet school. These games are usually made by one or a handful of people, take no more than a couple of hours to beat, and receive far less critical acclaim than their console / computer commercial counterparts. I decided to write this blog because I’ve tried to search for the best flash games before, but I only find a few short articles.
Here’s my attempt to remedy that. Below are my favorite flash games in no particular order. I’ve spent many hours on all of these when I’m procrastinating studying for an exam or have a favorite TV show on in the background on a quiet Friday night. Click on the titles to head on over to the game and give it a try.

While recently perusing the internet instead of studying, I came across something that chilled me to my very core. Most people are probably familiar with The Berenstein Bears, a series of books about a family of bears who teach life lessons to young children.
Who could forget such well written and unique characters as Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Brother Bear?
I’d never been a huge fan of the Berenstein Bears, but I’d certainly seen them a lot throughout my childhood. I probably even owned a book or two. There was nothing especially memorable or unique about this series except…
Wait a minute, something seems weird here. Why do the Berenstein Bears seem weird?
What the heck is weird about this? I don’t…OH MY GOSH.
THAT IS NOT AN E! Continue reading The Mandela Effect – One of the Creepiest Conspiracy Theories
